Damaskos Byzantine Slim 18K Gold Bangle with Diamonds
A slim 18K gold bangle shaped by twisted rope wire and finished with granulation — two techniques rooted in ancient Greek goldsmithing. Set with 0.10 ct of diamonds framed within granulated bezels. Handcrafted entirely at the Damaskos atelier in Athens.
About The Product
The Byzantine Slim Bangle is defined by its surface architecture: twisted rope wire runs the length of the band, punctuated by granulation-framed diamond settings. It is a narrow, wearable form — distinct from the heavier cuff profiles in the Damaskos collection — and is designed to sit close to the wrist, alone or stacked.
The bangle is made in 18K gold and weighs 15 grams. The twisted rope wire is formed by hand, coiling fine gold strands into a continuous ridge that catches light differently at every angle. Granulation — the technique of fusing tiny spheres of gold to a surface without solder — frames each diamond setting, a method traced back to Etruscan and ancient Greek craftsmen and still executed by hand at the Damaskos workshop. The diamonds total 0.10 ct and are set flush within those granulated surrounds.
Damaskos is an Athens-based atelier with decades of work in Byzantine and Archaic goldsmithing. Each piece is produced in small quantities using techniques that have not changed in their essential form for centuries. This bangle transitions easily from daily wear to formal occasions and pairs naturally with rings, earrings, or necklaces from the Damaskos collection. Also available set with natural colored stones — contact Brilliant Athens for options.
