Damaskos Byzantine Filigree 18K Gold Open Cuff Bracelet

This open cuff bracelet draws directly from Minoan decorative vocabulary — specifically the Rodakes, or rosette motif, that appeared across ancient Greek metalwork as a symbol of recurring natural form. Black platinum inlay creates contrast against the warm 18K gold ground, giving the piece a graphic clarity that reads as both ancient and current.

The cuff is built using three distinct hand techniques: granulation, in which tiny spheres of gold are fused to the surface without solder; twisted wire work, where fine gold threads are coiled and set by hand; and a martillé finish — a hand-hammered texture applied across the gold that scatters light and gives the surface a soft, velvety quality. The bracelet weighs 15 grams in 18K gold. Each technique originates in antiquity and is practiced without the use of casting or machine production in the Damaskos workshop.
